Rüdiger Hundsdörfer
Dipl.-Ing. Architect
Rüdiger Hundsdörfer is an Associate Partner at ASTOC and heads the Competition Department.
Thanks to his long-standing membership of the firm, he shapes the design philosophy of ASTOC. He takes an integrated approach to urban planning and building design, developing architectural concepts and finding solutions to complex challenges. Drawing on his analysis of multifaceted requirements and a comprehensive understanding of spatial relationships and design issues, he oversees numerous architectural projects. These include new buildings for the health, education and research sectors, as well as residential and office buildings and inner-city, mixed-use neighbourhood blocks. He coordinates the translation of urban planning approaches into architectural design and ensures architectural quality is maintained throughout the subsequent project phases. In this way, he ensures the quality of planning right from the early project phases and contributes to the continuous improvement of process quality.
