Project Assistant (m/f/d) – Full-time or Part-time

For over 30 years, as an owner-managed architecture and urban planning firm with 110 employees, we have been carrying out projects of all scales for public and private clients. Our goal is to create a livable city that is sustainable, community-oriented, and economically viable.

Our team is supported by a professional administrative staff in its project work. We are looking to further expand our staff, particularly to manage large construction projects. We are currently seeking a [position] for our Cologne office, to start immediately.

Project Assistant (m/f/d) on a full-time or part-time basis.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Supporting project management in communicating with clients and our subcontractors
  • Management of all project-related contracts and amendments
  • Support with invoicing and billing for subcontractors

You have

  • a completed business apprenticeship
  • Work experience in the administration of an engineering or architecture firm
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a passion for taking on a variety of tasks
  • An eye for both the details and the “big picture”
  • Very good knowledge of MS Excel
  • Very good German language skills (at least C1)
  • a structured, reliable, and team-oriented approach to work

Your tasks

  • Financial accounting
  • Digital processing of accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Payment transactions and dunning, invoicing
  • Monthly and quarterly financial statements as well as liquidity planning and reporting to management
  • Processing of wage and salary statements
  • Contact for social security and payroll tax issues
  • General administrative activities in the financial area

Your profile

  • Successful training as a tax clerk
  • Sound knowledge of financial and payroll accounting
  • Experienced with DATEV and Unternehmen Online
  • At least 3 years of professional experience
  • Very good communication skills and organizational talent
  • Structured and independent way of working
  • Very good written and spoken German (C1 level)
