How we work
Our teams in Cologne, Karlsruhe and Basel work together across locations. With a total of around 120 employees, we are one of the largest architecture and urban planning firms in the German-speaking world. In Cologne, five teams work in architecture and urban planning, supported by management, contracts and finance. Karlsruhe combines urban planning and architecture with a spatial focus in southern Germany and Basel coordinates our projects in Switzerland.
We cultivate our work and knowledge base. Our own teams for digital planning and construction, sustainability and certification, digitalization and IT bundle our knowledge and apply it to projects. Formats such as the monthly “Tauschzeit” (=exchange time) with impulses from the team or friends open up new resonance spaces and broaden our horizons. We ensure the quality of our planning in weekly Friday training sessions, in the chatbot and in process guidelines.
We do not view digitalization and sustainability in isolation. Rather, we are convinced that they are mutually dependent. We plan on the basis of models and incorporate aspects of sustainable development in the appropriate phases. This creates a reliable “single source of truth”. In cooperation with universities and research institutes, we contribute to setting standards for the future of construction.
Our work thrives on the community. In constructive cooperation as well as outside of everyday office life. At the same time, we promote the personal development of each and every individual. Many colleagues are involved in teaching, on competition juries and as driving forces on professional stages. This commitment is reflected in our projects and makes us active shapers of planning culture – with curiosity, openness and commitment.
