In our home town, we were allowed to be part of an exemplary structural development on the Koelnmesse and MesseCity site. Today, MesseCity is much more than just the juxtaposition of the train station and the entrance to the trade fair. An attractive quarter with a wide range of usage options and excellent connections to the public transport system has emerged. What was previously a station's backside is now an important and noticeable address. Urban development, the trade fair "balcony", a hotel block with two hotels and the main headquarters of Zurich Insurance were designed and realized by ASTOC in consortium with HPP Architekten GmbH.
We are particularly pleased to see how the public space is gradually being appropriated and taken over!
