ASTOC goes to Building Green
Our sustainability expert Timo Eisele will be in Hamburg on 19 and 20 June 2024
Our sustainability expert Timo Eisele will be at BUILDING GREEN on behalf of ASTOC ARCHITECTS AND PLANNERS to share inspiration and experience in the field of sustainable planning and construction.
We are driving the transformation of the city in its existing buildings and infrastructure strategically and in terms of planning in many exciting projects and at different scales. We are vigorously pursuing the goals of space- and resource-saving construction, incorporating the existing building stock, establishing a circular economy, using "grey energy" and adapting to climate change. Examples include the transformation of the 15.5-hectare Magnum site in Osnabrück into a mixed-use urban neighbourhood (in cooperation with GREENBOX), the conversion of the 9-hectare industrial wasteland of the former Lauffenmühle in Lörrach into Germany's first climate-neutral industrial estate in timber construction (with Henning Larsen and merz kley partner) and the transformation of the Blau. Quartier Ulm from the largest shopping centre in Baden-Württemberg with a gross floor area of 44,500 sqm to an urban residential quarter with 1,000 residential units, reusing significant parts of the existing building stock (with bauchplan ).( ) In addition, we develop tools for digital site management to harmonise the sustainability and economic efficiency of entire districts (with LIST Eco and Urbanistic).
